Getting married at the courthouse?
FAQ
I. How does the booking process work?
The first step is filling out an inquiry form under the Contact tab. The more information given, the faster we can get something on the calendar! I will then reply to your inquiry as soon as I'm able. A non-refundable, but transferable, $50 retainer is required to secure your date. Once we settle on a location, I then send a session contract and guide to help prepare you for our shoot together!
II. How many photos will be included in my gallery?
This depends on the package you select. I typically deliver between 30 to 80 photos for regular portrait sessions. Wedding galleries can range between 400 and 900 photos.
III. What should I bring with me to my photo session?
Bring a positive attitude and a SMILE. Houston can get horrifically hot and humid, so you would be surprised how much a small sweat rag and water can come in handy. All of my packages allow you to bring any props that help make the photos more YOU. That could mean graduation gear, confetti, or even tacos (please, bring tacos).
IV. What if I don't know how to pose?
Never fear. That's why I'm here! It's normal to be nervous before you get photos taken, but I will be there the entire time guiding you through poses and making sure you feel fabulous.
V. How does the payment process work?
I require my clients to pay a $50 non-refundable, but transferable, retainer in order to officially secure their session date. The retainer is included in your total package amount. The full package amount must be paid by your session date.
VI. Do you share RAW images?
RAW images are files that come directly from the camera and have not been compressed, edited, or retouched in any way. Post-production is a big part of photography and allows the photographer to edit their product to their standards. RAW images are considered an unfinished and incomplete service, and for that reason, I do not give these out.
VII. How do I decide on a photo shoot location?
Location is such an important piece to your session. I am open to any of your ideas, but if you have zero idea of where you'd like your photos, don't worry. Once the deposit is paid, I send my clients a Location Guide that has a list of my favorite photo spots in the area.
VIII. Do you have travel or location fees?
For sessions located outside of my 30-miles radius, I charge a fee of $.60 per mile, starting with a minimum charge of $10. Certain locations may require an additional booking fee. For example, a park that requires a photography permit or a studio that requires a booking fee. If this is the case, clients must pay the additional fees, since the location is their choice.
IX. How long is the turnaround time for photo delivery?
After each session, I edit, retouch, and deliver the final images to you within 3 weeks. You will have access to a digital gallery via email.
X. Do you use Adobe Photoshop?
I do all of my editing and retouching through Adobe Lightroom. I do not use Adobe Photoshop, since it is an additional expense and I do not heavily alter my images as part of my editing style and work. I will remove smaller blemishes, such as pimples, cuts/scars, or other obstructing objects that take away from the final image. If you have a question about removing something other than what is listed above, please let me know in advance.
